Jonathan chasing Zandvoort form

Cape Town FIA European Formula 3 contender Jonathan Aberdein heads to one of his favourite racetracks for the fourth round of the championship at Zandvoort on the Dutch coast over the 13-15 July weekend. Aberdein ran out of luck at the previous race weekend at Germany’s Norisring, but he is committed to making up for lost ground on a more conventional racetrack this weekend.

“Last race was a lottery on the crazy Norisring and I quite simply drew all the wrong cards,” Motopark Dallara-Volkswagen driver Jonathan admitted. “At least we had some great pace in the practice sessions, so we need to convert that into positive results on the classic circuits I prefer from here on in. “That starts with Zandvoort, so I can’t wait to get to Holland where I plan to get my championship challenge fully into top gear.”

The Zandvoort weekend starts with free practice and qualifying for the first race Friday morning, before the second race Saturday morning 14 July and then qualifying for Sunday’s second and third 35-minute races on Saturday afternoon.
