Visser bros want Killarney kart glory

Cape Town’s Visser karting brothers are champing at the bit in anticipation of this Saturday 29 April’s second round South African Rotax Max National Karting Championship round in their back yard at Killarney. Surprise Junior Max championship leader, rookie Charl is keen to maintain his title advantage, while kid brother Kyle is intent on moving a step up to the top of the Maxterino title chase.

“A home national is always tough,” 13-year old Charl explained. “But we will do what needs to be done and I have spent a lot of time karting to prepare for my rookie year in Junior Max, including running in the KZN championship round at iDube last weekend, so I am ready for the coming weekend.”

Younger brother Kyle (9), who was also in KwaZulu Natal for the Mini Rok SA championship opener last weekend, where he bounced back from a chaotic first race to score a couple of sixth positions, likewise cannot wait to get into action at home on Saturday. “We are well prepared for the race,” Kyle explained. “I had a good outing in Vereeniging and again at iDube last week and I love Killarney, so I’d say we are ready.”
