Duminy wants kart success after Polo step

Ballito race driver Daniel Duminy switches disciplines yet again as he continues his busy year on track — this time stepping out of his SMD Racing Volkswagen Polo Cup after a positive outing at Kyalami and into his SMD FA Kart where he will fight it out for Senior Max honours at this Saturday’s 29 April Rotax Max karting nationals at Killarney in Cape Town.

“I had a good day out there at Kyalami in the Polo on Saturday,” Daniel explained. “It was a good step up, but we still have some work to do as East London is next and I’m completely new with the track because my karting was mixed with that round last year. " I’m looking forward to tackling those legendary fast corners of Potters and Rifle Range for the first time.

“This weekend we go to Cape Town for round 2 of the SA National Senior Max Karting championship at Killarney, where I hope to have a strong weekend and to fight for the lead. “There are a few fast guys in the class and many of them know Killarney well, but so do I, so here’s to a power weekend - may the best man win!”
