Ballito teenager Daniel Duminy embarks on a huge racing season when he debuts his new SMD Polo GTI in the opening round of the 2018 Engen Volkswagen Cup at Kyalami’s Festival of Motorsport Saturday 24 March. Duminy starts his third season in the Volkswagen Cup as part of a hectic race season that includes an Audi Sport TT Cup program in Europe, but the focus is now fully on the Kyalami Polo GTI Cup season opener.

“Woo hoo — the racing season is finally about to start!” a pumped Daniel explained. “I have been training flat out in the off-season and I’m feeling super strong, we have found very strong pace in our new SMD Racing Polo GTI in testing and I am excited to be run by Vic Maharaj Racing this year, so I’m really looking forward to a very strong Kyalami weekend.
