Jordan keen to end Academy on a high

South African CIK-FIA Karting Academy racer Jordan North is in Finland for the third and final round of the series at the remote Alahambra kart track bordering on the Arctic Circle July 21-23. Northcliff, Johannesburg youngster Jordan is looking forward to ending off his Academy campaign with a strong result.

“It’s a long trek to Finland for the final round for the CIK-FIA Academy Karting Championship,” Jordan explained. “It’s been a hard season - I am battling a bit with my weight in a pretty lightweight class but I have really worked hard to minimise the deficit. “We had the pace to put it on the podium last time, so I really hope to repeat that and go all the way!”

The CIK-FIA Academy caters for over 50 young karters nominated by their local kart governing body to race in the exclusive series and North was chosen to represent South Africa. “I have learned so much through the Academy,” Jordan admitted. “Thanks so much to the Motorsport SA Karting Commission and the CIK-FIA Academy — this experience will no doubt add to the foundation of my future race career and I am truly grateful for the opportunity.”
