Red-Lined Motoring Adventures will live up to its name over the weekend of 18 and 19 September. That’s because the SA Cross Country Championship enters new territory for the first time when it traverses the Bothaville maize fields in the first Total Agri 400.

“Adventure is the name of our game,” team boss and Class T championship leader Terence Marsh explained. “So to be taking on new roads in a fresh racing environment plays straight to our core values.” 

Marsh and navigatrix Letshego Zulu won last time out at Bronkhorstspruit and the duo is relishing the challenge of defending their title advantage in virgin territory. “This is the way we like it,” Letshego admitted. “The team has prepared our Red-Lined Nissan Navara perfectly as always and now its just up to Terence and me to do the business. “We can't wait!” 

Ernest Roberts and Henry Kohne had a slightly troubled race last time out in their latest spec FIA Class Dragon Energy Nissan Navara VK56, but they brought it home to see Red-Lined also scoop the team prize. “We will be chasing a clean run this weekend,” Ernest promised. 

“The objective will be to run interference with the top five this time — we certainly had the pace to do so last time out and we also won the Lichtenburg 250 since then. The trick is to do so consistently and having now had time with our brand new Red-Lined Navara, we can more comfortably chase those objectives."

Red-Lined Youth Program Development Side-by Side class Can Am buggy duo Kent Rutherford and Gerhard Schutte will be looking for reliability this weekend. “Our Red-Lined Can Am dropped a valve last time out, so we were out early,” 18-year old Rutherford reported. “So we just want a good clean run to the finish this weekend and let’s see where we end up!

The Total Agri 400 was set to run from NAMPO HQ in Bothaville without spectators and to all lockdown protocols at the time of writing.
