New colours for Lupini's title chase

Giordano Lupini heads for Killarney’s fourth round Burly Pro GTi Challenge with a brand new technicolour dream coat for his CiR Construction/La Vie de Luc/Accelerate 102 Golf GTi. Lupini, who leads both his class and overall Challenge championships, was forced to switch to his newer black car before round 2 after his familiar yellow Golf was destroyed in an accident after a mechanical failure, debuts a cool new yellow and black livery in search of more success this weekend.

“I am absolutely delighted with my new colours” Giordano admitted. “They represent a neat mix between last year’s yellow and this car's and our old black theme — thanks so much to our partner Franschhoek Sign Company for the branding and to our loyal panel partners acciDent Guru for the respray — the plan is to do you guys all proud come Saturday!”

“I am also really looking forward to this weekend — I have spent some time in the long break since the last race tinkering on our set-up and testing with Gozzi and our GAP Motorsport team and so far, it's looking pretty good for 8 June. “It is always a challenge — I may have a strong pace advantage, but we seem to be getting involved in the Class B dice ahead every race, which allows my Class C rivals to catch back up and Brett Roach managed to use that to take a win off me last race!

“Still, I can't complain, pole position and a lap record each meeting and five race wins and a second in six heats is all good - now the plan is to keep the momentum going so it’s maximum attack as usual — bring it on!"
