Coetzee chasing national Junior kart glory

Western Cape Junior Max karting champion Jason Coetzee concluded his preparation for the opening round of the 2017 SA National Championships in perfect style with a dominant display in the second round of the Western Cape series at Killarney on Saturday.

“We have had a great year so far,” Jason explained. “Sebastian Boyd made me work for it in the first race at Killarney but after that it all went to plan and I go to Vereeniging on a six-race Junior Max winning streak and I am very happy with my result this past weekend. “We should also be ready for Vereeniging — I won there in the MSA Academy race a few weeks ago, so I’m focussing and looking forward to going up to do my best to win, but it won’t be easy.

“None of this would however be possible without my family and my awesome team, not least of all to my mentor Kohen Bam, who has pushed me and kept me calm and focused. “Now for the national — let’s do this!”
