Coetzee wants it all at Zwartkops

Durbanville karting star Jason Coetzee heads to Zwartkops for the weekend of all weekends as he prepares to go head-to-head in an effort to wrest double South African national karting titles Saturday 23 September. Coetzee sits a close second in the 2017 Junior Max title chase and an even closer third in the 2017 Senior Max championship tussle, where he’s one of three drivers split by two championship points with four heats to race.

“I’m second in Junior Max, seven points off Sebastian Boyd and there is very little in it,” Jason admitted. “It’s even closer in Senior Max — Luke Herring is two points ahead of me and Cameron O’Connor sits in between us so that one is really going to be close — it’s been super tough and quite controversial all season in Senior, so that one’s going to be very interesting!

“I’ve been training flat out and spending a lot of time preparing in and out of the karts for Saturday — I have eight big races in just a few hours and the last four will be longer, tougher and harder than ever, but I'm ready so bring it on! “I have an advantage in that I have a very good team around me and I would like to thank my folks, my race engineer Henry Bam, RKT and everyone else who makes my racing possible - I’ll be putting my best foot forward to make it happen for all of us.”
