Durbanville’s newly crowned South African Mini Max champion Kyle Visser is out to complete a crushing karting triple this weekend as he heads to the Western Province Karting Finals at a freshly resurfaced Killarney Kart Track leading both the Cape under-13 Mini Max and Mini Rok championship chases. Older brother Charl meanwhile plans to celebrate his South African Junior Max championship and 11th in the Junior Rok International Finals in Italy, with a win at home on Saturday.

“It’s been a brilliant year and I can’t wait for Saturday,” Kyle admitted. “The plan is to wrap up two more titles and do the triple this year. “We have a strong lead in Mini Max, but I am going to have to work for that Mini Rok title, so it would be great to do it with wins all-round. “The only challenge is that Killarney has a brand new track surface, so it could shake things up a bit, but I have a great bunch of guys behind me in my dad and the Charl Electric team and we will be ready.”

Older brother and also South Africa's newly crowned Junior Max champion Charl, enjoyed a most impressive run to 11th in the Junior Rok International Finals in Italy two weeks ago and he's just keen on a good weekend at Killarney this weekend. “I really like the look of the new track and I would like to celebrate my first race on the new track with a win,” Charl explained. “We are out of the local championship running so I can just concentrate on best results this weekend — should be lots of fun!"

Both Kyle and Charl Visser have earned their places on the South African team for the Rotax Max International Finals in Brazil 1 December thanks to winning their respective SA championships this year and both will treat Saturday’s races as part of the build-up to that big week.
