Mostert raring to go after long break

It seems forever since the last Western Cape Cadet Karting Championship race back in May, but Luan Mostert is delighted that the wait is almost over for Killarney’s fifth round races Saturday 22 July. Rookie racer Mostert has enjoyed a great start to his karting career and he lies fourth in the title chase, but he is now keen to improve his lot.

“What a long break we have had since the last race,” Luan reflected. “The weather has also been quite bad, so I have not had all that much seat time, but we will need to spend every second we have at the track over the next two weeks  to be sure I am ready to race!

And if that’s not enough, the Cape Town 7 year old has championship pressure on his mind too. “The points are quite close and I can't afford not to finish any races,” Luan concluded. “I will be doing my very best to bag as many points as I can, too!”
