Jordan is MSA Academy kart champion

Northcliff, Johannesburg teenager Jordan North clinched the inaugural MSA Academy karting championship as he stormed to a dominant three race final round performance at Vereeniging’s Laserfiche Raceway on Saturday.

North who also represented South Africa at the FIA-CIK International Academy this season, proved unstoppable at Vereeniging to clinch the title. “Yes!” Jordan exclaimed after Saturday’s final race. “We are the first ever 2017 MSA Academy champions and what better way to do that than with another clean sweep of wins at Vereeniging — a perfect end to a brilliant season.

“I would need to thank my family and my team, RKT but especially Robert Briggs, Etienne Roos, my dad, my brother Michael and my entrant Vaughn Williams — these guys have done so much for me and I would never have achieved what I have without them. “Now its time to look ahead to the future — bring on 2018 — I cannot wait!”
