All to do for Tasmin, Campos two at Killarney

Pepper Racing heads to its happy hunting ground with it all to do at the penultimate round of the Engen Polo Cup at Cape Town's Killarney International Raceway Saturday 22 September. Tasmin Pepper will arrive at the cape racetrack leading the Masters class and a close third in the overall race following a few difficult breaks in recent races, while leading rookie Keegan Campos is closing the overall lead trio down and Jason Campos has his eyes set on second in the Masters title race.

Electric Life Pepper Racing Polo lady racer Tasmin Pepper, is keen to turn the tide on a streak of bad luck in the past few races and while she arrives in Cape Town in a comfortable Masters championship lead, the Midrand lass is keen to overturn the 15 point deficit to move up from third into the championship lead heading to the Zwartkops finale in October. We always look forward to heading to Cape Town — Killarney is definitely a highlight on the calendar,” Tasmin admitted. “Hopefully we can have a turn in luck for the rest of the season, but we’re right and ready for some close action packed racing in Killarney!”

Top Polo Cup rookie for 2019 Keegan Campos arrives in Cape Town hot off an emphatic maiden win aboard his Campos Transport Pepper Racing Polo last time out and he remains hell-bent on more of the same to continue his charge up the championship table from his present fourth overall. “I can’t wait to get back to Killarney after such a solid performance last round,” Keegan explained. “I hope we can keep the momentum going — we are getting stronger and stronger, so bring it on!”

Elder brother Jason Campos heads to Killarney with every opportunity to propel the Turn 1 Pepper Racing Polo into second in the Masters championship chase on Saturday. “We have had a few tough breaks, but the season seems to be coming toward me,” Jason smiled. “I am a few points off second in the Masters title chase, but I also have a few strong guys not too far behind, so it’s a matter of keeping it on the black stuff and putting it on the Masters podium every race - can’t wait!”

Team boss Iain Pepper can’t wait to get to Killarney. “Cape Town is usually kind to us, so we hope there’s more of that this weekend,” Iain concluded. “Best of luck ladies and gentlemen — roll on Killarney 22 September.”
