Charl, Kyle want more wins back home

Cape Town’s Visser brothers, Charl and Kyle return to their Killarney home track for the third round of the Western Province Karting Championship following a brilliant national karting outing at Vereeniging last week. 13-year old SA Maxterino champion Charl made waves to win in Junior Max debut to win the day overall, while 2015 WP Cadet champion Kyle was second overall in Maxterino and both want to continue their winning ways back home this weekend.

“I am leading the national championship despite not yet winning a Junior Max race since I stepped up earlier this year,” Charl pointed out. “We want to change that this weekend — it’s not going to be easy considering who we have to beat, but it would be very good to now win a race and improve my Cape championship position this weekend. “I can’t wait!”

Younger brother Kyle meanwhile took his first Maxterino race win en route to second at the national and now he wants to turn that final race success into a winning streak at home. “I won my first race at Vereeniging from from flag to flag and set the fastest lap too – that was my first-ever national race win so I am so proud, but I can’t wait for Saturday because my Zanardi has the speed and Killarney is my home track — let’s race!”
