Stuwie set for a blast on French streets

WHITE ON PAU F4 POLE POSITION
Stuwie set for a blast on French streets

Bloemfontein lightie Stuart White has started his Pau French Formula 4 race weekend in perfect style. White drove his Sauber Engineering Mygale to a stunning pole position in a drenched qualifying session for the second round of the series on the tricky French street circuit — a crucial achievement considering the carnage typical to this tricky race weekend every year.

"Pole Position!” an elated Stuwie confirmed. “That was an absolutely amazing qualifying in my Sauber engineering Mygale.” “Conditions were extremely difficult in the rain on the tight Pau track, but the track was improving every lap and we managed to find the sweet spot and I put it on pole!”

"Unfortunately I tried a little too hard to protect my pole as my rivals were also getting quicker and made a small mistake with a few minutes left in qualifying and I clipped the wall.  “I apologise to the team for my mistake but at the end of the day we are still delighted to be starting on pole position for race 1 and race 3.

“Special thanks to all our partners who have made it possible for this incredible dream come true — now it’s full focus on my three races this weekend!” Follow Stuart White’s French Formula 4 progress throughout the Pau weekend at www.ffsaacademy.org/.
