South Africa’s 2016 International FIA-CIK Karting Academy candidate Jordan North returns to the local scene, where he’s set to do battle in the high school Junior Max class this year, starting with the opening round of the Northern Regions championship at Zwartkops Saturday 18 February.

“I am really looking forward to racing this year,” Jordan who also enjoys tennis and is a record holder in solving the Rubic’s Cube admitted. “Junior Max is the place to be in both regional and national karting — it’s a similar machine to the Academy karts I raced in Europe last year, so I hope to be able to fight for both the Gauteng NR and national titles this year.

“The class is however most competitive, so it certainly won’t be easy, but I think we are ready and I simply can’t wait to be back in a kart in anger again.”
