Mokoena excited for first OKJ kart outing
Northern Regions Junior Rok karting champion and double primary school class runner up Kwanda Mokoena is looking forward to a new experience when he races in the OKJ class for the first time this weekend at the inaugural O.K. Series races at the Vereeniging Kart track Saturday.
“OKJ is something new, so we all go into it having to learn from the ground floor,” the Paulshof Primary Grade 7 kid explained. “It’s not too different from the Junior Rok I drove last year, so I don’t think it will be too big a step, but the weekend should bring a lot of new experiences and I’m looking forward to learning the new engine too.
“There are a few strong guys in the field and a few Cape and other guys are coming up, so the racing should be good — bring it on!"
