Next race all that matters to Giordano

Giordano Lupini may have had an awful day at the races in Saturday’s season-opening Bold Marine GTi Challenge heats at Killarney, but all that’s on the Franschhoek 16-year old’s mind right now, is the next race.

“Yes, Saturday was probably the toughest day in my career so far, but hey, cowboy’s don’t cry!” the Bridge House School Grade 11 scholar admitted. “There were some huge positives though — the car was fantastic, we were right on the pace and I learned plenty from the situations that unfolded once again — so I’m happy to concentrate on the plusses and get on with it.”

Scuderia Lupini is however set to confirm some exciting plans soon for its fourth-generation racer.

“I am about to take the next step in my career,” Giordano confirmed. “We will announce our plans soon, but from my side I would like to thank everyone who is busy preparing with us behind the scenes right now as well as all those who have helped me get this far.

“All I can tell you is that I am super-excited and can’t wait for the next few weeks to unfold!”
