Oliver all set for Killarney kart national

Johannesburg kart racer Oliver Gunner is on his way to Cape Town for the second round of the SA National Karting Championships at the Killarney Kart Track Saturday 29 April and the Bryanston lad is looking forward to the adventure in spite of a challenging opening Senior Max national race at Vereeniging last time out.

“The first round in Vereeniging was really not what we expected,” the Saint Stithians Grade 10 scholar pointed out. “After being close to pace in all the practice sessions and putting together a great qualifying, the weekend bit back and it’s not one I really want to remember.

“That is why we need to make up the points this weekend at the second round, but I need to be realistic because not only am I racing against a really strong field of drivers of whom several have intimate home town knowledge, but the objective is to bring it home and to be well into the points in each of the three races,” the d’Amico Attorneys Tony Kart driver concluded. “I am really looking forward to Killarney!”
