Second Euro season for Jordan North
South African kart racer Jordan North heads to Genk, Belgium for the opening round of the 2017 CIK-FIA Academy karting season 12-13 May. It will be North’s second year in the series contested by 55 young kart racers selected by their local governing body and he’s looking forward to build on his solid experience last year.
“Academy karters can go back a second time to allow us to build on our first year’s experience,” 13-year old Northcliff, Johannesburg lad Jordan explained. “I learned so much last year and it was all over so quickly, so I’m really looking forward to go back with a bit of hindsight and I hope to do MSA and South Africa proud.”
Jordan prepared for his European foray with a dominant display in the local MSA Academy races in Vereeniging in April. “I am ready,” Jordan concluded. “We have really worked hard on this and I can’t wait to race in Belgium again!” The CIK-FIA Academy runs over three meetings in Belgium, France and in Sweden over the coming months.
