Visser MSA’s 2017 CIK-FIA Academy karter

Cape Town kart racer Charl Visser has been selected to represent South Africa in the 2017 CIK-FIA Academy Karting Championship starting in Genk, Belgium this weekend 12-13 May. The Academy sees 55 young kart racers selected by their local governing body competing over three meetings in Belgium, France and Sweden through the European summer.

“I am proud and honored to have been chosen by MSA to represent South Africa in the prestigious CIK-FIA Academy Karting Championship for 2017,” Durbanville 13-year old Charl admitted. “I have also progressed well in Junior karting this year after stepping up from the primary school classes and we have been practicing at all tracks and in all conditions, so I am well prepared and ready to do my country proud.” 

2016 SA Maxterino 60cc champion Visser enjoyed a winning start in Junior Max earlier this year. “We have worked hard though my career and I need to thank my team — my mom and dad, my mentor Wesleigh Orr, my Mechanic Zefrey Ngoban. the WPMC Kart Club, MSA and everyone else who has made it possible for this incredible dream to come true.”
