Sebastian fights for Killarney points

Sebastian Boyd emerged frustrated, shaken and stirred following a rough and tough day at the weekend’s fourth round WP high school Junior Max races on Saturday. Boyd Boss freight driver Sebastian was hoping for better than what he was handed.

“This weekend was filled with disaster,” Sebastian rued. “I qualified on pole position once again and I won the first race but I was bumped off in race 2 and had to settle for third. “Then I was leading the third race with 2 laps to go and I was nudged off again. “Well done to Charl Visser on his first Junior Max win though — we now have another very competitive kart to deal with in him.

“It’s a pity about the bumping because a lot of this is not really necessary and it spoiled an otherwise great day’s racing. “Anyway, while it’s not all that bad, third for the day is not quite what we wanted. “But that’s racing and we will come back fighting harder next time — all we want are clean, hard races so here’s to just that when we come back on 22 July.”
