Gunner improves again at Zwartkops
Oliver Gunner was happy with his pace after the weekend’s fourth round Northern Regions Senior Max Karting Championship at the Zwartkops Kart Raceway, but he went home frustrated following a tough end to his day. Bryanston youngster Gunner was third in the opening two races, before being helped off the track to end up ninth in the final aboard his D’Amico Attorneys TonyKart.
“Overall I am happy with our pace after Zwartkops,” Oliver admitted. “Race by race we are getting there — this weekend gave me several positives to take home and with the support of my team and a little more work, the results will come. “I’m really motivated, I have a great team around me and we are ready for all things to come. "It's just a pity about that last race.
“I’m unfortunately not doing the iDube national races in KZN as I am on a three week camp that clashes with that weekend, but we are ready for the next round of the regional championship where I’m looking forward to continuing with my recent progress.”
