Visser ready to fly the flag at Le Mans

Cape Town kart racer Charl Visser heads to the second round of the FIA-CIK Karting Academy Championship looking for a step forward at Le Mans. Visser, who fought back from carburetor problems to qualify for the final, where he made up thirteen places at Genk on his series debut in Belgium, is looking forward to his next challenge in France.

“I had to drive my heart out in Belgium,” Kenridge Primary Grade 7 scholar Charl explained. “But we learned so much last race and I hope to put all that to practice and a little good luck will also help. “I have also been putting in the laps and practicing all the time back home, but we are taking a little break before heading to France.”

“It is a tremendous privilege to represent South Africa at the FIA-CIK Karting Academy and I am greatly thankful to MSA for choosing me, to the Academy for this opportunity and to may dad and family for making it all possible. “I hope to pay them all back with great results — let’s do Le Mans!”
