It hardly seems there will be a break in between races for Luan Mostert as the thick end Western Cape Karting Championship merges with his first trip upcountry the following week, but Luan is ready to impress at the sixth round WP regional races at Killarney Saturday 12 August . 

“I have some hard work around the corner,” six-year old Luan explained. “It’s the Cape Town Regionals this coming Saturday and then on Tuesday dad, Nono Franco and me leave for Pretoria to do the Zwartkops Regional a week later and then it’s the Africa Open that Sunday. 

“I am really looking forward to it but the Cape Town race is important and there’s only a small gap for that 3rd place in the championship and I am also looking for my first ever race win so we are putting in the laps and hoping to have lady luck on our side! “I want to wish all the Cadets good luck and to also welcome Jo’burg driver Ian Joubert to the Cape Town group.

“And I can’t wait for Zwartkops - I am very excited about racing through the famous tunnel I have heard so much about, so I am very excited.”
