Stuart makes Kyalami F1600 his own

Bloemfontein teenager Stuart White closed off his 2017 race season in fine style as he dominated the Investchem Formula 1600 races at Kyalami’s Motorsport Festival over the weekend to clinch second in the championship despite missing four races through the year. White, who also competed in the French Formula 4 championship had two date clashes through the year, but that did not prevent him from being a consistent title factor back home in Formula 1600 either.

“Kyalami was a great weekend,” Stuart beamed after the race. “We were fastest in all practices, we had two pole positions, two race wins and set the fastest laps in both races at the greatest track in Africa — what an awesome day — it does not get better than that — all the hard work paid off.

“It was an honor to be able to race at Kyalami with so many of my friends, family and sponsors out to support me so a big thank you to all of them and of course to my team run perfectly by Brian Kruger and his team to take us to second in the championship and also a big thank you to Ian Schofield and Investchem for making it possible.

“Congratulations to Julian on the championship and thanks to him and to all our competitors for a great years' racing. “we’d also like to take this chance to send and all our prayers, love and a speedy recovery to our competitor Donny Lamola following her recent medical condition.”
