Coetzee keen for Killarney progress

Double Western Province Junior Max karting champion, Durbanville driver Jason Coetzee is looking for a few more wins as he prepares for double duty once again in the second round of the Western Cape karting championship at Killarney Saturday 3 March. Coetzee won a Rotax Senior Max race before scoring two seconds and took a couple of runner-up slota and a third in DD2 last time out, but he’s keen to up his win rate next time out.

“I had a pretty good start to the season, but I’m after a few more wins in round 2,” DF Malan High Grade 10 student Jason admitted. “I'm looking forward to working with my EMR Extreme CRG teammate Umpie Swart up front in DD2 and I must respond to Andrew Rackstraw, who was on top form and won the second and third Senior Max races last time out. We have been working on the set-up of my Kosmic and I plan to turn the tables on him.

“Saturday is also a warm-up for the first national at iDube in KZN in March, so we will be concentrating on those preparations too, but I can’t do that without a great team around me and I hope to return their confidence in me with best results, even if it means beating my mentor Umpie! “Thanks as always to my dad and my family and the team — lets do this!”
