Mokoena set for mad Junior kart action
Pauslhof karting star Kwanda Mokoena heads to the KwaZulu Natal Midlands on a mission to bring the most points possible back from iDube’s opening round SA national championship high school Junior Max races Saturday 31 March. Reigning South African primary school Mini Rok karting champion Mokoena steps into the cauldron of a particularly hard-fought racing class, but he’s confident of good results.
“I am so excited for iDube!” Kwanda admitted. “I love that track and I can’t wait to race the more powerful Junior Max up and down those hills, jump over the pipeline and around those tricky corners — iDube is such a cool track so I can’t wait. “It won’t be easy though — there are too many really quick guys in this class now, so it’s going to be quite a job to win - especially with even more super-quick kids from the Cape among my Jozi rivals, so it's going to be wild!
“I have had a good build-up though - we have scored well in the regionals and my Squadra Corse team will always give me a good kart, so it’s up to me to make it happen — bring it on!”
