Expectations high for Zwartkops Polo finale

Pepper Racing has it all to do at Zwartkops final round Engen Polo Cup races as newly crowned Masters Champion Tasmin Pepper heads to Pretoria off an overall win and ten points behind her main championship rival and Campos brothers Jason and Keegan look to continue their recent top form as they chase a step up in their own championship campaigns.

Tasmin Pepper was in top form aboard her Electric Life Pepper Racing Polo last time out as she closed championship leader Jeffrey Kruger’s title advantage down last time out and she's determined to go all the way in Pretoria. “I am so looking forward to the last national of the year!” Tasmin owned up. “It's been a tight championship all year, and it’s all come down to the last round — we are in the hunt and I’m not going down without a fight. Shane and my dad have given me a great car all year, so it's time to give the boys a hard time, one last time this year - let’s do this!"

Polo Cup’s top rookie for 2018 Keegan Campos arrives at Zwartkops off a splendid recent run in his Campos Transport Pepper Racing Polo and keen to continue that charge this weekend: “There’s a lot of work waiting for us next weekend,” Keegan confirmed. “I'm 3 points off second place in Junior championship and 11 points off third in the overall standings so I'd really like to move up in both championships and end my rookie year with an outstanding result for myself and my team with a move up in both!”

Jason Campos had his best outing of his rookie Polo season at Killarney and he plans to keep the momentum rolling with his Turn 1 Insurance Pepper Racing Polo. “It’s taken a little time to get to grips with this car and now we are slowly but surely building our confidence. “We’re heading into the final round pumped up to end the season on a high. — we know what to do — it's such a good feeling to be so excited for the weekend ahead.”

“Well, so far it's been a challenging but good year,” team principal Iain Pepper concluded. "Tasmin needs to win both races to try clinch the overall championship on top of her Masters title, Keegan can still get third and Jason is looking good for second in masters, so let’s go see what Lady Luck dishes out this weekend."
