Campos brothers chasing Cape Polo Cup glory

Johannesburg’s Campos brothers Jason and Keegan head to Cape Town for Killarney’s fifth and sixth Falken Volkswagen Polo GTI Cup South African championship races in a strong position following a positive start to their seasons. The Campos Racing duo sit fourth and sixth in the most competitive national race series in the counrty and both intend to improve on that in the Cape.

“We had a good start to our second season in the Polo Cup,” Turn 1 Insurance Polo pilot Jason admitted. “I am just two points away from a podium championship position, so we are keen to keep that momentum going into the Cape, which is always such a good weekend. “I enjoyed positive feel and balance of the car, which made me very comfortable behind the wheel at Zwartkops, so I’m confident heading to one of our favourite racetracks at Killarney!"

“My main objective is to put my Campos Transport Polo closer to the front of the grid at Killarney,” Keegan explained. “We had great race pace at Zwartkops but spent too much time making up for being a bit further down the grid that I may have wanted to be. “I am really looking forward to Killarney though — Cape Town is always one of the best race weekends of the season!"
