Charl wins, Kyle second in WP karts

Visser brothers Charl and Kyle enjoyed a great day’s racing at the third round of the Western Province karting championship on Saturday. Elder Durbanville brother Charl Michael was in dominant form as he stormed to three straight wins to take the day in Senior Max, while class rookie Kyle had a busy day with a couple of seconds and a third en route to second in Junior Max for the day.

“That was a perfect day at the races,” SA Junior champion Charl admitted. “Pole position and three race wins, what more could we ask for! “The first two races went very well with lights to flags victories, but the third was a bit more difficult — I dropped back to fourth off the start and had to fight back to pass those three karts and get the lead back in three laps — thanks to the Charl Electric team for a perfect kart as always!"

“I had a lot of fun at the races today and had my best results in the WP Junior Max championship yet,” reigning SA Mini Max champion Kyle, who won his first Junior race at national level last time out admitted. “I had a great dice with Troy Dolinschek in the first race and chased him all the way in race 2 and was on pole for the final. “The third heat brought a great dice with Troy and Tate Bishop to third, but second for the day, which is good. “Thanks to my dad and the team — we are getting there!”
