Polo Cup duo keen on an Aldo advance

Campos Racing brothers Jason and Keegan are headed for Nelson Mandela Bay and the Aldo Scribante Race track, when the Falken Polo Cup makes its way to home territory in Port Elizabeth Saturday 15 June. Both brothers will be looking for a step back up at Aldo following a trying weekend in Cape Town last time out as they look to come away from the midwinter midseason Port Elizabeth bout in better championship shape,

“I am really looking forward to PE," younger brother Keegan confirmed. “Killarney was a tough weekend but I still managed fifth to move my Campos Transport Polo even on points with my brother Jason in fifth in the title chase. “Qualifying is critical in Polo Cup - one slip and your weekend becomes a disaster because you end up in that mad mid-pack bunch and the only way to avoid that, is to blitz qualifying. “So the plan is to do just that and then keep out of trouble for two good heats — here’s to a great weekend!"

If Killarney was tough for Keegan, it was horrible for elder brother Jason, who was eliminated from the weekend after a race 1 crash. “I have put Cape Town behind us,” Jason owned up. “We have re-shelled my Turn1 Insurance Polo and I am going to battle in pretty much a new chassis, which is cool. “Now I just need to get back to the pace we enjoyed in the opening two races — and in qualifying at Killarney. “Also it's hopefully not a wet weekend like last year — I am super keen to race on that new Aldo surface in the dry. “Let’s do this!
