Charl, Kyle’s winning preparation

Visser brothers Charl and Kyle were both back to their winning ways at the sixth round Western Province Rotax Max Challenge championship round at Killarney on Saturday. Charl dominated Senior Max with a trio of race wins, while Kyle ended up on top in under-15 Junior Max with a double race win on the day as the duo prepare for the Rotax Max National Finals in Pretoria 21 September.

“I enjoyed a perfect weekend,” reigning SA Junior Max champion Charl confirmed. “My Charl Electric Alonso Kart ran faultlessly and I was able to control the class today, which is a good thing heading up to Zwartkops for the National Finals in three weeks time. “I need to thank our mechanics Zefrey and Bigshow for all the work on the kart and Ricky Perdigao for all the help and my dad for everything — now for the Finals — I can’t wait!”

“That was a good weekend,” SA under-13 Mini Max champion Kyle admitted. “I am now much more at home on the bigger, more powerful kart and I really enjoyed racing hard today and I am delighted to have taken the overall win with two heat victories. “We are not in a bad position in the national championship either and I really enjoy Zwartkops, so we are really looking forward to that - thanks to the guys as always and to my mom for all the nerves, support and driving us up and down to all the practices!”
