G&H Supercars ready to thrill at Zwartkops

The annual Zwartkops Passion for Speed Winter Edition festival may have been delayed from its midsummer date to this coming 18-20 June weekend, but that does not mean the racing won’t be red hot. Among the many categories ready to thrill, the G&H Extreme Supercars are once again poised to set the Pretoria racetrack alight.

Mark du Toit's Trans Africa Racing Ferrari F430 GT3 will have three Lamborghinis to deal with in the balance of performance GT3 class. Greg Parton's Drizit Enviromental Huracan and brothers Gianni and Ricky Giannoccaro BISC and G&H Transport Supertrofeos will no doubt be on his case. It's a mixed bag in Class A+ where Kris Budnik's Dodge Viper takes on Pieter Zeelie and his Optima Consulting Toyota MR2.

Class A will see Cape visitor Dawie Joubert debuting his fearsome new Ferrari 488-powered Rembrandt Lotus Exige against Jonathan du Toit’s equally exotic Trans Africa Racing Ferrari F430 Challenge. They will have their hands full with BMW gang Rick and Paulo Loureiro's Combined Racing 335is and Elwyn Steenkamp in an M3. And Ben Morgenrood’s quite confusing entry — his Ben Morgenrood Ford Mazda & Mahindra Lexus V8! The car is a Lexus...

It’s all exotic in Class B where Xolile Letlaka's Stradale Racing Into Africa McLaren 650S GTS will take on teammate Charl Arangies' Porsche 997 GT3 Cup and Ant Blunden’s similar SAJCO car. Class C is another mixed bag as Deon du Plessis’ BPT KTM X-Bow RR fights it out with Marius Jackson’s MegaFibre Audi R8 LMS GT4 and Jimmy Giannoccaro’s G&H Transport BMW M4.

Class D is a classic Porsche versus BMW affair, with Stefan Snyders' Steton Investments and Richard de Roos’ RDR 911 RSRs take on Uli Sanne's Z4 and Ian Kotwal in an XPEL M235i.

The G&H Extreme Supercars race among a glorious and huge Zwartkops Passion for Speed racing festival throughout the 18-20 June weekend. Spectators are still not allowed at sporting events, but be sure to tune in to the Passion for Speed live streaming via the Zwartkops website or its social media channels.
