Du Toit the Favourite as Parton Leads Way to PE

Jonathan du Toit may be the hot favourite as he heads to the thick air of Gqeberha’s fourth round G+H Extreme Supercar championship round aboard his naturally aspirated Trans Africa Racing Lamborghini after a resounding victory in at Zwartkops’ thin atmosphere last time out. But there’s a surprise at the top of the 2022 MSA National GT Sprint Championship heading to  the Aldo Scribante races.

Ever consistent Greg Parton leads the title chase in his Balance of Performance National GT3 class Drizit Environmental Lamborghini Huracan, with champion Charl Arangies four points adrift after once again using a variety of cars in his season so far. Du Toit sits third, another to points adrift, tied on points with Class B leader Marius Jackson's MJR Audi R8 LMS GT3 tied on points with Damian Hammond Trinity Security Lamborghini Supertrofeo in fifth.

Nicky Dicks' Stradale Into Africa Porsche 997 GT3 Cup sits sixth ahead of GT3 BoP trio Mark du Toit’s TAR Ferrari 430 GT3, Ricky Giannoccaro’s GT3 class G&H Transport Lamborghini 560 Supertrofeo and Gianni Giannoccaro, now in a GT3 class BISC Stradale Nissan GT-R. Don’t expect the races to go to championship form however, with the likes of Ant Blunden Porsche 997 Cup, Xolile Letlaka Lamborghini Huracan Evo and Kwanda Mokoena’s Audi R8 LMS GT4 in the fray.

There are also a couple of wild super fast turbo Porsche GT2s to keep an eye on in the form of Dayne Angel’s Autohaus machine and Franco Scribante to keep an eye on, as well as the ever present 75-year-old Ben Morgenrood qualified fourth in his amazing Ben Morgenrood Motors Lexus Chevy V8. Combined Racing’s Rick and Paulo Lorreiro will be back in their wild BMW 335 turbos and PE local Ian Riddle adds variety in his Mastercrete Alfa Romeo 156 GTA.

The G+H Extreme Supercars racing in the MSA National GT Sprint Championship race as part of a stunning Aldo Scribante VW Extreme Festival raceday, which promises spectacular entertainment whether that be live trackside, or via live streaming wherever you are, over the Extreme Festival’s social media on Saturday 28 May.
