But it’s one GT racing step at a time for Mokoena

The Kyalami Kid, Kwanda Mokoena is itching to get back behind the wheel of his Audi R8 LMS GT4 for Saturday's fifth round G+H Extreme Supercar races at Zwartkops’ Regional Festival. Back on familiar ground, Mokoena is hoping to go even better than he did when he trumped several GT3 machines at the recent Aldo Scribante meeting.

“I really can’t wait to race my Class C Amandla Coal MJR Audi R8 GT4 LMS at Zwartkops this weekend,” Kwanda admitted. “I am very excited — the grid is looking packed, which will hopefully produce some great racing. "I was delighted with my Aldo Scribante pace, which was just off the bigger GT3 class winning Lamborghini Huracan and quicker than both Porsche 911 GT3 class B cars.

“More important is that I concentrate on growing my confidence as I improve my understanding of GT racing and that I get quicker one step at a time. “Special thanks in advance of the weekend to Marius Jackson and the MJR team, my folks and my sponsors including Amandla Coal, and to my fans and supporters. “I've never been happier in racing — Marius and I work so well together and he's teaching me so much. “It reminds me of my days with Thabs in karting and Uncle Eli.

“Best of all is that I know Zwartkops well, so let’s see if we can pull off a really good result in Pretoria. “See you at Zwartkops!”
