Capetonians Charl & Kyle head north
Durbanville, Cape brothers Charl and Kyle Visser head to uncharted waters this weekend as they prepare for the inaugural round of the new Rok Karting series, with both lads set to make their debuts in new classes at the Vereeniging Kart Track on the Vaal Triangle Saturday.
“I will be racing in the new MSA Academy class,” Charl explained. “It is something a bit different to what we are used to - we race on supplied equipment that we get to the track and set up from there, so this class is far more about the driver and setting up the kart, rather than pure power and practising for weeks on end. “I’m quite excited actually - I’m really looking forward to the weekend!”
Baby bro Kyle is also looking forward to the weekend on his Mini Rok debut. “We know Mini Rok well - Charl has done well in that class, so we will be well prepared,” the younger Visser pointed out. “I have also raced on Vereeniging before and I like it, so it should be a good weekend.”
