Champ Els ready for Vereeniging national
South Africa’s Rotax World Mini Max karting champion, Jayden Els is raring to go at the opening round of the SA National karting championship at Vereeniging’s Laserfische Raceway Monday, 20 March. Jayden has stepped up to the high school Junior Max category this year and will race a brand new Electro-Thread Tony Kart at the Vaal track.
“I have had a good step up to Junior Max — I won a few races and I have had a little bad luck too, but I am looking forward to the National,” 13-year old Els explained. “We have been testing my new Electro-Thread Tony Kart at Zwartkops and I'm very happy with the kart.
“Junior Max is a very difficult class as always — not only must I deal with the top locals, but there are a few other guys coming up from the Cape who are very quick, but I cannot wait to get going. “I would like to thank my dad for all the hard work and effort to make sure I am on the pace and special thanks to Chris Coertse from Electro Thread for his backing this weekend — I hope to make Electro-Thread proud!”
