Back to the drawing board for Daniel
Ballito race driver Daniel Duminy had a tough weekend at Vereeniging’s opening SA national Karting championships on Monday
“That was a very tough day at the office,” Daniel owned up! “It’s a pity because we had very good pace the whole week building up to the race and we were expecting a top three.
“Unfortunately we hit trouble – my SMD FA Kart suffered technical problems and would not run cleanly through all three heats . “ Despite trying everything we could, we could not find out what was wrong.
“It could have been worse though – we still scored fair points and I’m now 5th in the championship, but we can now put this weekend behind us and go back to the drawing board and come back a whole lot stronger for the next round.”
Daniel now jets to Cape Town for the opening round of the Engen Volkswagen Cup. ““I’m looking so forward to this weekend — I was on pace in practice so I hope my results will prove that – see you at Killarney!”
