Sixteen-year old Giordano Lupini is ready to race in the opening round of the 2017 Engen Volkswagen Cup when the Franschhoek lad makes his debut in the series on Saturday’s national championship raceday at his home track at Killarney.

Giordano this evening unveiled his 2017 Volkswagen Polo Cup racer in his familiar black hue. “I have driven black cars and karts over the past few seasons so we decided to go for more of the same,” Giordano confirmed. “I’m really looking forward to Saturday - it’s my first Polo Cup race - I have to thank Iain, Shane and the Pepper Racing team as well as my Cape team, Brian Maunder and the guys at MRD for helping me get ready for the season, as well as our loyal sponsors.”

Lupini will be one of 22 Polos competing in the Engen Volkswagen Cup on Saturday alongside Pepper Racing teammates Shaun La Réserveé, Tasmin Pepper and Daniel Duminy.
