Lindenberg Racing enjoyed a mixed day at Zwartkops’ Historic Tour races over the weekend as Paige Lindenberg fought to fifth in class after experiencing brake issues with her monster Ford Fairlane, while Ford Escort couple, Djurk and Kirsten Venter enjoyed another afternoon of on-track marital strife.

“That was definitely my most challenging and frustrating race day at the races yet,” Paige admitted. “I had no second gear from Friday afternoon and this made the overheating of the brakes even worse causing me to lose brakes completely at one stage in the race, so spent the rest of the weekend pumping the brakes up to enjoy semblance of stopping.  “I was happy to finish in the end to bag whatever points I could - I see every one of those as a bonus!”

Husband and wife Djurk and Kirsten continued to battle it out on the track, with Djurk finishing on top in 6th in Class, ahead of Kirsten. “That was a good day at the races,” Kirsten beamed after. “I diced hard with Djurk and several other cars, so even my husband got one over me this weekend, we really enjoyed ourselves.”
