Q4 Fuel Husqvarna Racing heads to the fourth round of the 2018 TRP Distributors SA National Motocross Championship at Terra Topia north of Johannesburg on the front foot Saturday 7 July. Caleb Tennant leads both the 450cc MX1 and 250cc MX2 championships with Q4 Fuel Husqvarna teammate Maddy Malan in close attendance in both classes and with young Neil van der Vyver strong in the 65cc class.

Cape Town rider Tennant had an incredible ride last time out and is already in Johannesburg in preparation for Q4 Fuel Husqvarna Racing’s home round. “We could not have wished for a more perfect day in Bloemfontein where we won all four motos to see me heading to Terra Topia in the lead of both championships,” Caleb explained. “I suppose that brings a little extra pressure, but I’d say we are in pretty good shape. So I'm looking forward to making it another weekend to remember for the team and all the people in my corner.”

Pietermaritzburg rider Maddy Malan heads to Terra Topia a close second in MX1 and an even closer sixth in MX2 and less than a single moto win worth of points behind his title-leading teammate in both championship chases. “We had a tough weekend last time out, so I intend to bounce back in Jozi,” Pietermaritzburg rider Maddy admitted. “I am ready, my Q4 Fuels Husqvarnas are ready, so we are looking forward to this one where the plan is to be back on top of my game — can’t wait!”

Little Neil van der Vyver continues to impress in his step up to the 65cc class aboard his Q4 Fuel Husqvarna and the Cape Town lad heads north looking for another step forward at Terra Topia. “We had a solid weekend in Bloemfontein and we go to Johannesburg looking to keep on improving,” 2017 SA 50cc motocross champion, Neil confirmed. “We have had a pretty strong season and we are making good progress, but the front of our class is so competitive, so its time to step up a gear and climb a few positions in the championship.”

“Terra Topia is a big weekend for Q4 Fuel Husqvarna Racing,” Husqvarna Motorcycles South Africa Brand Manager Fred Fensham concluded. “It's our home race and we arrive there in the lead of both open class national motocross championships after a dream weekend at Bloemfontein for Caleb and Maddy, while Neil will be looking for another good day, so we can’t wait for our home race at Terra Topia.”
