Habot Performance Lubricants dominates on track

Habot Performance Lubricants’ biggest proving ground is on the racetrack. That cannot be a bad thing, considering that Habot’s market leading synthetic oils have enjoyed a winning streak in South Africa’s top racing classes, both in national championships and regionally in the Cape and up in Gauteng.

Giordano Lupini’s Habot lubed Tork Craft Tools Volkswagen may only have joined CompCare Polo Cup for the second race of the season at Killarney, but he’s been the man to beat ever since. Gio utterly dominated on his Killarney return, before scoring a couple of thirds and a win at Zwartkops to shoot up to third in the championship chase.

“In a tightly controlled series like CompCare Polo Cup where we are so limited to what we can do to the car, every millisecond can, and does count,” Giordano explains. “Habot’s proven Performance Lubricants make enough of a difference to matter – I’d happily say that the six hundredths of a second gap I had to put it on pole position at Zwartkops was probably down to the Habot difference!”

2022 champion Jurie Swart has dominated this year’s Western Cape Alert Engine Parts GTi Challenge in his Habot lubed Bullion IT Volkswagen Polo. “We have long understood and used the Habot Performance advantage to our greatest benefit,” Jurie points out. “Not only do Habot Synthetic Lubricants give us proven gains on both the dyno and against the stopwatch, but the various oils also guard my car against the rigours of flat out racing.”

Habot simply cannot lose in the upcountry Pabar Gauteng VW Challenge. With every car racing lubricated by Habot’s Volkswagen Approved H-5W40 SP lubricant, winning there is guaranteed. Reigning Rory Atkinson played himself back into championship contention there as he shared out Phakisa race wins with Waldie Meintjies last weekend, while Hannes Scheepers and Ethan Coetzee shared Class B wins, and Yotti Nousias won Class C.

“Habot Performance Lubricants is having a great season in our toughest laboratory,” Habot marketing manager Adam Williamson concluded. “Nothing proves a motoring product better than racing, so for all our cars to be winning is a significant feather in our cap. Well done team, let’s keep this momentum rolling!”
