Alibhai chasing a British F4 qualifying breakthrough

South African Aqil Alibhai heads to Knockhill fully intent on another strong  FIA British F4 weekend on 12-13 August. A difficult qualifying saw the Johannesburg youngster struggle last time out, but Alibhai and his Virtuosi Racing Tatuus are looking for redemption in Scotland.

“We head up to Scotland for the seventh round of the ROKiT British F$ championship this weekend,” Aqil confirmed. “Overall, let’s just say we had a difficult outing at Croft last time, and that was not the way I wanted to start the second half of my season. We had the pace to fight further up, but a poor qualifying made progress difficult.

“So, once again, we need to really concentrate on qualifying to make best use of the new tyres when they matter the most. That is easier said than done, but we have got it right before, and every time I have qualified well, I have gone on to enjoy a very good weekend, score podiums and even win a race.

“We also have an extra heat up there, to make up for the cancelled race at Snetterton earlier in the season, so I’m looking forward to a busy weekend. It’s onward and upward to Knockhill. We can’t wait. Bring it on!”
