European rally-raid racing outfit, DaklaPack Rallysport is relocating to Portugal, where it has also been appointed as distributor Red-Lined Motorsport. The move comes as the former Dutch company steps up to deliver a complete and more professional motorsport service.

“After ten years in Holland, we are moving to Portugal,” DaklaPack Rallysport founder Dave Klaassen confirmed. “Like South Africa, the Portuguese rally-raid series is very well supported with a strong field of participants and it has many races. We had far fewer competitors and events in Western Europe. 

“We are also delighted to confirm that DaklaPack has been appointed distributor of Red-Lined race cars for Portugal and Spain. We will sell, maintain, support, and run clients racing Red-Lined cars out of our new Portuguese base,” Klaassen pointed out. DaklaPack will support the full range of Red-Lined FIA T1 class VK50, VK56 and REVO race cars, as well as the new FIA T1+ the REVO+. 

“Our services cover everything from new and used Red-Lined vehicle sales, to our full parts supply service, car maintenance, and race preparation. We also offer a Red-Lined race car and equipment storage service. Our various levels of support depend on customer needs, from an Arrive and Drive deal, to a rental service and back-up to other teams racing Red-Lined cars.”

DaklaPack Rallysport has a varied terrain test track just 20 minutes from the team’s new Portuguese headquarters. Ideal for training, to set cars up, shake them down, or even corporate days. DaklaPack’s rally-raid training programme covers everything from the basics at its base, all the way to Red-Lined dune training in glorious Namibia.

DaklaPack duo Dave Klaassen and Tessa Rooth realised a dream by finishing the Dakar at their first attempt aboard their Red-Lined VK56 in 2023. They are racing a new T1+ Red-Lined REVO+ in the South African championship.
