De Klerk, Obery split BMW driving duties in Weiveld 250

TreasuryOne Motorsport heads to the weekend's Weiveld 250 near Parys in the Free State with the objective on practice and learning, while extending Hennie de Klerk and Adriaan Roets Northern Regions Off Road championship advantage. The team also plans to share a little and have some fun too. De Klerk will share the driving duties aboard he TreasuryOne BMW X3 in the 17 April race with his friend Roy Obery, with Roets reading the notes.

“We are going to have a little fun in the Weiveld 250 this weekend,” Hennie de Klerk explained. “Roy Obery will drive the BMW in the time trial and the first loop and then I will take over behind the wheel for the second lap. “We had a tough time with a few teething issues with the BMW last time out at the Dullstroom national but we have done a fair bit of work on the car so hopefully we can look forward to a clean weekend.”

“Special thanks to Hennie for this cool opportunity,” Roy Obery added. “I had a short run before we had issues at the season opener. "Now I have a second bite at the apple and the plan is to hand the BMW over to Hennie so he can finish off the job.”

De Klerk and Roets lead the Northern Regions title race after a second place and a win in the opening two rounds in the TreasuryOne Amarok, which the team has now commenced a nut and bolt rebuild on, in preparation for Dakar 2022. TreasuryOne Motorsport will run its BMW in several races starting with the Weiveld 250 this weekend.
