All four Red-Lined Crews Complete Tough Tunisia Desert Challenge

Red-Lined Motorsport’s 100 percent finishing record for the 2022 racing season continued on the international front, when all four of its overseas customer race cars went on to finish the gruelling eight-day Tunisia Desert Challenge and this within the top ten of their T1 class.

“We cannot begin to tell you how proud we are of our international customer drivers and navigators as well as their respective technical teams,” Red-Lined Motorsport boss Terence Marsh confirmed from the firm’s Kyalami headquarters. “To have all four of our Red-Lined machines finish a race as tough as this 8-day 2,000 plus kilometre desert event and more importantly within the top 10 of their T1 class, is yet another wonderful feather in our cap. “Well done to all on an incredible result!”

Best placed of the four customer teams was the Dutch crew, Ronald van Loon and Erik Lemmen, in their Red-Lined VK50. They were followed in by the other Dutch pairing of Dave Klaassen and Tessa Rooth in their VK50, who recently impressed in the South African Rally Raid Dullstroom 450 event earlier in the year. The two VK56 crews of Algerian Fodil Allahoum and his French navigator Jean Brucy, and Belgian driver Stefan Carmans and Dutch notes man Arjan Van Tiel then followed to complete the top 10.

While South African born and bred Red-Lined Motorsport races in the local rally raid series, the Kyalami business also supports and services many of its international customers in events around the world. Their FIA T1 class Red-Lined VK50 and VK56 race trucks, as well as their all-new Red-Lined REVO are hugely popular around the world and are raced with great success in most major rally raid events across the globe including the biggest event of them all, the Dakar.
