Halcyon racing book in print, new sales portal open
The new book, South African Champion covering the history of the Grand Prix, Formula 1, Single Seaters and Specials racing in Southern Africa has gone to print. The book will be available during May 2025.
Covering 125 years of racing history starting from the first race in Cape Town in 1900, the book peruses the first Grand Prix era of the 30s before moving on to the South African Champion years. From there, South African Champion covers each of the 33 South African Championship years, every one of the 33 South African, as well as Rand, Cape and other local Grand Prix over the years, and all the action since then, too.
Each South African Championship season and every South African Grand Prix is written and presented as a separate story. The reader can literally open the book on any page and have a full and engaging story to read about that season. Or read it from beginning as one gripping saga to the end, backed by all the data, images and original artwork.
To be published in an exclusive limited number print run, South African Champion is a high quality 300-page large format coffee table book. A limited pre-release offer remains available at R2,750.00 (Incl. Vat) via www.southafricanchampion.com until the book hits the shelf.
