Eugene Denyssen keen to end on high
The end of a racing season is always a bittersweet affair for drivers and that’s exactly what faces South Africa’s British Formula 3 rookie Eugene Denyssen as he heads to Donington for the season finale over the weekend of 10-11 September. “Its already my last race of the year,” Denyssen reflected. “I’m stunned that it went by so quickly!
“But it also means that I have one last race to impress so I am going to give it my all this round — it’s really important to finish this season on a high, so I’m fully focussed on delivering a strong result.” Eugene has not been idle in the weeks since his last outing at Snetterton: “I've been preparing in the time since the last race and I’ll also have a couple of days at the Red Bull factory for some simulator work before we head off.
“I am particularly looking forward to Donington - a circuit made famous by Ayrton Senna’s incredible performance in the rain there all those years ago. “I’m also looking forward to the last round, but quite sad it will be over so soon,” Denyssen concluded. “I’ve learnt a lot this season and I'm very happy with my progress so far!"
