Volkswagen Motorsport South Africa competes in SATC SupaCup with Jonathan Mogotsi racing alongside '23 Polo Cup champion Charl Visser in a pair SupaPolos, and with 2023 Rookie Cup champion Kyla Visser in Astron Energy Polo Cup. Volkswagen Motorsport continues to run the Astron Energy Polo Cup Race Series, and supports that and the SATC SupaPolo field. Both those national racing series often see 20 or more cars competing in the races, driven by South Africa’s top young racing talents. Volkswagen Motorsport also runs the Rookie Cup, an academy-based championship as a stepping stone from kart racing to the main circuit. The powerful turbocharged 2 litre SupaCup, Polo Cup, and 1000cc turbo Rookie Cup race cars are purpose built by Volkswagen Motorsport South Africa at Kariega in the Eastern Cape.
